EMPTY NEST 
My research is based on the period in a woman's life when children leave home referred to as 'Empty Nest Syndrome'. Women in the 20th Century have received a far broader education than their mothers, but by and large have not benefitted. Some women experience feelings of separation and loss of identity.

It is the influence from their mothers and expectations of society that women's self worth is gained by being connected to others.

Exploring this time of metamorphous regeneration and a return to autonomy, images of myself were taken in a nest I had created to push the realms of society's expectations of mature women.
